Liverpool Community Advice’s ‘Drop In’ service has been suspended. This decision is caused by our two offices at Dale Street and the Liverpool Family Court being closed forcing LCA to furlough staff at home.
Volunteers are still able to provide telephone advice Tuesday & Wednesday 11am-3pm and Thursday 11am-1pm on 0151 662 0059. You can also email on firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will resume our drop in service as soon as we are able to.
Until further notice, we will be conducting the majority of our business via email and telephone conversation, where practical. Please email any correspondence to: email@example.com rather than using the post.
Please go to our ‘get advice’ page for useful fact sheets relating to the current situation. These include: Financial support, Universal Credit, PIP and employment advice.
We are here to help
Our sole purpose is to meet the needs of people and through personal advice point the way to resolving issues, settling arguments, dealing with debts, sorting out relationships, in fact anything for which people need help and support.
LCA achieves this by listening, helping to identify issues needing immediate attention and signposting for those which need time and on-going support. LCA is not always the right Agency to resolve all problems, but we will put people in touch with those who can.
Throughout our work we are seeking to provide the help people need, so whatever the problem, we can confidently say that whatever the need LCA are the Centre for Advice for the Citizens of Liverpool.

How We Operate
Professional and personal excellent Advice 4 Citizens of Liverpool
A very sincere welcome to the professional services of Liverpool Community Advice (LCA) where we will endeavour to give you the support and advice to solve the problems you may have and help you in order to enhance your wellbeing.
We can trace our roots back to 1939 when the CAB opened its doors in Liverpool. In 2016 we chose to leave the CAB network and transition to LCA in order to retain the independence and personal face to face service so vital in today’s world where national Help Organisations are too centrally based and distant from Liverpool. We continue to use the wealth of experience from those previous years. LCA are full members of Advice UK and have developed into the pre-eminent local Help Organisation in Liverpool. We have achieved this with some specific part funding and support from Local and Central Government, executing contracts for organisations, public and private donations, bequests and grant awards from benevolent organisations. However we continue to require funds to operate the free service we offer the Citizens of Liverpool and welcome all donations. Thank You.

Volunteer your time
The role of Volunteers is vital to the continuity of LCA and its future development. Volunteering can be very rewarding but at the same time hard work. However the rewards of seeing people you have helped getting their lives back on track makes it all so worthwhile.
LCA will always require people with specific and general experience and knowledge. The secret is putting these pieces together to form a complete Help Picture. Do not hesitate to get in touch so we can discuss your talents and their application to our service.
This can be just one day per month or a multiple of days per month. Future employers like to see that people are or have volunteered as it shows endeavour and community spirit.
